First Time Home Buyer Update #2 – Putting in an Offer

The first time home buyer process is no joke! At the time of recording of this house hunt update, it has been about seven months since we started looking to buy our first home.

Though the process is going slow for us (because we have high goals in a challenging market!), we are learning a lot about a bunch of different programs. In today’s first time home buyer house hunt update, I explain how a FHA 203k loan can help pay the costs of remodeling.

What goes into putting an offer in on a house? One of the top first time home buyer questions answered in simple terms. What goes into buying your first home? What types of first time home buyer programs are available? This family is sharing everything they learn along their first time home buying journey!

Side note: this post is going up a little late. Follow me on Instagram for more real time updates. I will have another house hunt update soon!

Here is my post explaining in detail all the numbers that are going into our first time home buyer budget.

Then here is our first house hunt update giving you detail on the USDA loan and how it helps you buy a home with zero dollar for a down payment.

Our Plans on Buying a First House on a Small Budget

If you follow me on Instagram you might already know all the requirements we need to be met in order to buy our first home. Here is the background you need to know to get caught up.

We live in San Diego, which just so happens to be one of the top five most expensive cities to live in the United States. Making it pretty challenging for a moderate one income family to buy their first home.

That’s us… we are the middle class, one income family trying, to buy our first home in one of the most expensive cities in the country!

We have a plan! So make sure to go read all the details to the beginning of our journey to buy our first home.

What’s New on Our House Hunt Journey?

First off, we have a new realtor and she is amazing! She is willing to put in any offer we want. She is not embarrassed if the offer is low and she has great ideas on how to be creative in her search for our dream home in San Diego. If you are looking for a realtor in San Diego county, leave me a comment and I will be happy to share her info with you! Seriously!

This time around we are looking into new financing options. Specifically the FHA 203k loan to help fund the remodel of a property. All the details are in the video!

What do you think?

What did it look like when you were buying a first house? What type of loan did you use? How long was the process? Let’s chat in the comments!

Thanks for stopping in and I will talk to you soon! Xoxo
