Dollar Tree Christmas Party Decorations

How much did you spend on the last party you threw? Seriously! How much total do you think you spent on the party? Just take a guess!

Got a number?

Okay, now add $100 to that and that is how much money you actually spent! Most people don’t realize how much they actually spend on a party.

Throwing a party really doesn’t need to cost much money at all! You can look at this darling party I threw for my daughter’s 5th birthday or this construction themed party I threw for my little guy’s 3rd b-day. Both parties I did for around $50 each!

That’s it! That includes food, decorations, party favors, it covers it all!

But today I want to show you what I did to throw a little Christmas party using supplies from the Dollar Tree!

I can’t believe everything she got was from the Dollar Tree! Tips on what to look for at the Dollar Tree for your next Christmas party on a budget. Throw a last minute Dollar Tree Christmas Party with little prep and even less money!

With food and decorations, this party was pulled together for under $30!

Here are the supplies I used. I am going to link you to similar supplies that can be found on Amazon since on the Dollar Tree’s website you can only buy in sets of 20.

I’m guessing you don’t need 20 mini Christmas trees. I don’t know, maybe you do?

The Food

When it comes to feeding a crowd, you need to find food ideas that taste amazing, but don’t cost much and can still feed the masses!

For this party I did a big pot of a Copycat Olive Garden Zupa Toscana soup. I will come back and link the recipe once I get it up on the blog.

I also made a fresh batch of Copycat Outback Steakhouse Molasses Bread (rolls). Same thing. I’ll come back and link once I get the recipe up.

Then for the desserts, I pulled out some frozen peanut butter swirled brownies I had made a week earlier and put straight in the freezer after they were baked.

Pro party tip… you can freeze most baked goods right after baking and they still taste amazing once they are thawed! Which is fantastic because the more you can get done ahead of time, the less stress you will have during party day.

Then I also pulled out the last dozen of frozen Krispie Crème Donuts that we stashed away in the freezer after we snatched up FIVE DOZEN FREE DONUTS during Dress Like a Pirate Day.

If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw my Instagram Stories about how you can freeze donuts and they still taste fantastic after you pull them out and let them defrost! (Thanks again Nancie for the tip!)

Make sure to watch the video below so you can get all the details of the party and see my Dollar Tree haul with all the items I found to dress up this super frugal and fabulous party!

I’ll talk to you guys soon! Xoxo
