August 2019 Meal Plan & Grocery Haul

This August 2019 grocery haul post is sponsored by Fetch Rewards. Thank you for supporting Pennies Into Pearls by using my links at no additional cost to you.

Whew! I just got back from gathering my grocery haul for an entire month’s worth of groceries and I am pooped!

Did I mention that I had all three kids with me? I need a nap…

So if it is so exhausting you might be wondering to yourself, “Then why do it?”

This is our real life family grocery haul on a budget. Every single item we bought and how we stuck to a $280 budget for a family of five. Watch this VIDEO showing you exactly what we bought in our Costco and Target grocery haul.

Because shopping only one morning a month instead of several times a month and maybe even each week is SO MUCH EASIER! Not only do I save myself hours each month, I also save so much money by buying in bulk and limiting the urge to impulse shop!

I’m sure you have a bunch of questions. What about fresh produce and meat? How do you have enough cash to cover it all? I put together another post that answers all those questions and you can get the details right here.

Want to know another way to save even more money when it comes to grocery shopping? Keep reading and I’ll tell ya!

Get Paid for Grocery Shopping

With back to school quickly approaching for many of our Pearl family’s, there is a chance that you are probably spending more time and more cash-o-la at the store. Am I right?

I’m here to tell ya, don’t worry about it! Plan ahead, set a budget, and find ways to save and help those dollars go further.

If there is an insanely easy way to save and pretty much get paid to do your shopping, then wouldn’t you do it? That’s a no brainer for me!

Fetch Rewards  is an app that allows you to easily earn rewards for doing the grocery shopping that you are already planning on doing. So why not get rewarded? Right?

My favorite part about this app is that there is no planning required and it is super fast to use. It’s so easy and quick that as soon as we leave the store and are in the car, I open up Fetch and snap a quick pic of my receipt and immediately earn points! Then you use those points to redeem some pretty awesome rewards!

I don’t have to worry about taking up the extremely limited amount of time I have before my kids start melting down in the backseat.

Ready to see how easy this is?

It’s only three steps! Once you have downloaded the app and created an account, this is all you have to do after you go shopping:

  1. Scan your receipt.
  2. Earn points.
  3. Get rewards!

This is our real life family grocery haul on a budget. Every single item we bought and how we stuck to a $280 budget for a family of five. Watch this VIDEO showing you exactly what we bought in our Costco and Target grocery haul.

I told you it was easy! You get points EVERY TIME you scan a receipt.

Treat yo self! Use your points to get yourself something! Yes you can be responsible and redeem your points for a gift card to somewhere useful for back to school or for next month’s groceries. BUT you could also get yourself a mom-back-to-school treat! You work hard mama!

Fetch has a huge selection of different stores, restaurants, and entertainment to choose from for their rewards!

This month’s recipes, like normal, are FIRST based off what ingredients I had at home. Followed by ingredients locally that are on sale at the grocery stores.

Use our family meal plan as a guide for budget friendly recipes but use our meal planning template to customize your meal plan based off what you have at home first.

That way you can plan your meals based off what you already have in your fridge, freezer, and pantry before you start searching stores.
