Thrift Store Refashion into Little Girl’s Dress

One of my top tips when on the hunt for a thrift store find, is to keep your eyes open for patterns and prints that you love. That was the case with this oversized women’s button up shirt.

As my sister and I walked through the aisles of clothing at our last thrift store hunt, this bright print caught my eye. I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to do with it, but the print yelled “spring” at me. So for $3, I snatched it up!

Cakes, cookies, pizza, hot dogs, chocolates, ice cream, candy, chips, and dips. Oh man! For me, the very first thing I think about when it comes to throwing a party is the food!

What about you? What’s the first thing you start thinking about when you hear the word party?

With all the amazing food around, you cannot forget the chilled drinks! Our family’s favorites are yummy juices, root beer, and water. Well, the water is more my favorite but the others are a majority vote!

A really popular trend right now in party décor is incorporating vintage furniture. I for one, am a huge fan! I love the charm that an old piece can bring to any party theme. Even if you have a modern theme, a pretty piece of furniture nicely tied into your theme can make a huge statement!

This idea is what brought on the inspiration for this DIY drink station.

Easy Peasy Pallet Wood Sign

Oh how I love pallet wood! Have I said that before? Just in case you didn’t already know, I am a huge fan! Take a look back at my pallet planter boxes and you will understand why I have a giant pile of scrap pallet wood. Just imagine about 20 pallets in my garage… Hence my love for pallet crafts!

Not are pallet crafts awesome because they are made out of 100% free reclaimed wood but this particular pallet wood sign it is super simple! I think I put the whole thing together in about 20 minutes and it only took that long because it took me a few minutes to get Cricut Craft room to work correctly.

So I did use a Cricut to cut out vinyl letters for my sign but if you trace out your sign first then paint it in with some “outside approved” paint then I am sure it would look wonderful! I actually might choose that option for my next sign. The hand painted look mike give it a more rustic feel.
